…this Thursday at the fab boutique, Merge, for a charity fundraiser for Operation Smile! Along with Modern Luxury Dallas Magazine, we will be there from 6:00-8:00 pm for some great shopping, light hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.
As many of you know, we support Operation Smile along with hundreds of other photography studios around the country. Throughout the year we sell “Smile Cards,” blank notecards with a favorite image from the session printed on the front. Each penny from the sale of these cards goes to the charity. In addition to a percentage of each October’s sales, our studio has donated over $20,000 since 2005.
So…..this year we wanted to come up with something really good! At our event on Thursday, Matt and I will be there selling gift certificates for 2009 sessions plus a complimentary 8×10 from that session for $240.

Did you know that the average cost of a cleft lip surgery performed by Operation Smile volunteers is only $240? Can you imagine…..only $240 to change a child’s life forever. We will donate each dollar from your pre-purchased session to Operation Smile. Your portrait session will represent a new life for a child in need.
And hey, it’s a bargain since the the value of the 2009 session and 8×10 portrait is $415.
Here’s the fine print…..the session must be between January-August 2009, and includes a studio or our park session. It does not apply to an at-home, large family group, or beach session. There will be 50 certificates available. So come early!
A portion of sales from Merge merchandise on Thursday evening will go to the charity, too. (And I hear they are going to also raffle off some great fashions!)
