We recently took a spring break trip with our kids to Maui, and to say the week was amazing would be a huge understatement! It’s getting painfully clear that our kiddos are getting so big, and as we start to count down how many more spring breaks they will have with us…well the number is too little. So needless to say, having a career that allows us to travel to some pretty fabulous places is a huge blessing. We mixed a little bit of business with a lot of fun when we met up with these sweet friends on Kaanapali Beach. Dylan and Ella go to our kids’ school, and we have become friends with the whole crew as the years have gone by.
We loved being able to coordinate a Hawaiian sunset session evening to memorialize the family’s trip; Mom and Dad honeymooned on Maui and had looked forward to sharing the island with their kids for years. The rainy day made us a little nervous leading up to the shoot, but everything worked out perfectly! The soft post-shower light and dreamy clouds made for the most beautiful backdrop. It was the perfect beach family portrait session!
The family just finished renovating their home, and we are in the process of producing a gallery wall full of canvas images from this trip. The joy of creating art for families is the reason why we do what we do! Look for an update on this post once the art is installed; it’s going to be gorgeous!
