Some of you may already know about the wonderful work of an organization we support called Ark of the RainbowThis is a great organization that is providing hope and essential services to people in a slum of Bangalore in India.  Ark of the Rainbow is both a school and community center that serves incredible people and makes tangible differences in the lives of the people served.  One of the main goals of this program is to educate the very vulnerable children of the slum who are susceptible to the very real threats of human trafficking and sex slavery.  The education offered here also helps combat the practice of underage marriage and teen pregnancy, both of which decrease significantly with increased education, especially for girls.  This community center offers a free weekly health clinic, and after school Boy’s and Girl’s Club that ministers to teenagers, and a Women’s Club that supports the ladies of this community.

We’ve had the opportunity twice now to visit, serve, and photograph the school…..make sure to click here to see images!

Through supporting Ark we’ve met wonderful people both abroad and stateside.  We first met this family at a charity benefit event for Ark of the Rainbow, and we recently got to take photos of their sweet girls ~ newborn baby Eliza and her big sister Nora.  Nora is taking her big sister role very seriously and loves to love on baby Eliza.  Nora is just 22 months old and did great the whole time!  Little Eliza slept like a champ during the majority of the session and was happy to be cuddled and loved on by her big sister. So sweet!
