Long time no blog.  I mean REALLY long time!

I so wish I could catch up a bit and show our amazing families some peeks from their sessions from the past couple weeks…there have been so so many!  I had the highest of hopes for blogging past sessions as we traveled as a family to California this past week.  But…..as it most always does this time of the year…..life got in the way.  In a good way, of course.

We still contend that we have the BEST job ever…..going to the beach to photograph 5  favorite families and staying in amazing hotels and bringing our kids along too?  Heaven.  Thanksgiving at Disneyland?  Yes please.

Well, as I try to dig myself out of the giant pile of work before me…..I just need to share some images of our own.  We are so blessed and thankful…..

{They call themselves the polar bear club.  It was FREEZING.  I swear we’re  getting them little wet suits the next time we head to San Diego}

My apologies to this awesome family for being SO late in posting some previews from our trip to California!  It’s been a nutty week……our daughter’s school shut down for a little “flu break.”  Thankfully, we have all been healthy but there has been some scrambling going on in the time management dept!

We photo’ed in two different locations in these guy’s hometown of Carmel…..although we had hundreds to choose from.  That place is so gorgeous – there are plenty of new spots for next time!  But last weekend, we concentrated on the grounds of the girls’ bea-u-ti-ful school, Santa Catalina, and a beach right in the famed Pebble Beach golf community.  What a job!! :)

Matt and I just got back from an awesome trip to California to photograph one of our favorite families.  These guys moved from Dallas to Carmel over 4 years ago, but have stayed great clients and friends.   Here’s just a peek ….more to come!

At the beach…Part 9 (the finale!)

What an amazing time we’ve had the past couple weeks…..we are so thankful to our own family for sharing such a great vacation and for the fantastic families we photographed on the beach.  

Last night’s session was so great.  And since my own kids are going on their 3rd hour of an afternoon nap, I was really able to delve into the images and pull a lot of fav’s for the blog post today.  

(this morning…..our 15th morning here, mind you….was the first that our 2 year old didn’t scream, “No beach!  No ocean!  No sand!  No dolphins!” and actually went out and had a grand time burying his mommy’s legs in the sand and floating on an inner tube in the sea while watching daddy fish in the surf.  Where was the camera you ask?  In the house.)

At last, feast your eyes on this super fun family.  It was well worth the wait!  After a rain out the day prior, we had absolutely perfect weather for our last shoot here.  Allison(7)+Caroline(5)+Will(4) are a total blast we hang with at the beach!
