At last!  Images from our fab one year old shoot at Everlee’s home.  Wow.  Her home is overwhelmingly beautiful…so much so that it made the cover of D Home magazine this month.   We have LOVED getting to photo E and her gorgeous and super nice parents this year…..and look forward to watching her grow more through the years!

check out her newborn pic we did in the background….. Butterflies remind E’s mommy of her sweet girl, so we incorporated 2 just-hatched Monarchs into the shoot. Fragile butterflies+active one year old= sort of a  mess.  But we did capture this…. Um, hello….there’s a butterfly on my face.

We were so excited when Margaux and Meyer’s mom and dad hired us to travel all the way to Aspen for their portraits.  Twist our arms why don’t ya!  We had an amazing trip to Colorado last week….we even brought along our kids and Matt’s parents to make a vacation out of it.  I’ll post some pics of our time there at some point……but for now, take a peek at these cuties.  Have you ever seen eyes so beautiful?  M&M are such very sweet babies….

Since their whole family was up vacationing in Aspen with them, we also got to meet and photograph M&M’s cousins, Will and Ben.  Photographing 3 babies who don’t sit up yet…along with a VERY active and fun 2 year old….outdoors…was a new challenge.  But these guys did a great job!

Here is Will and Ben’s mom, M&M’s mom’s sister.  This is the CRAZIEST story ever:  The first time we had met M&M’s mom was there in Aspen, all correspondence with her was via phone prior to the trip.  They live full time in Houston, we live in in Dallas.  Well…..through the course of conversation (the day AFTER these photos were taken) we realize that this cute gal and I  (why didn’t I recognize her before is just wrong) had gone to high school together.  As in– graduated together–in CARMEL, INDIANA.  Freaky!  Blame it on taking our husband’s last names….

Day 2 of our shoot was for the whole family, and we were so excited to get M&M together with their parents with beautiful Aspen mountain in the background….

And here is the whole crew…..of course now I would recognize this family, even from my high school days….as grandpa is the former head coach of the Indianapolis Colts!  Thanks everyone for trusting us to your sweet family’s portraits in such an amazing place!
